SciencEd is here to create science based teaching resources that are ready to teach, straight from the download! They are designed to be easily amendable to fit your school's scheme of work. They are created by a real teacher, that uses these resources in his own classroom.

How did SciencEd begin?

There were a number of times where I had downloaded resources when on a short deadline for a lesson, and was really disappointed with what I would find: lesson after lesson, designed in a very teacher led manner. I wanted to break this mould to produce something that would be far more enjoyable to teach, and far more interactive for the students.

What is the core aim of SciencEd?

The idea behind SciencEd is reduce the planning time for other teachers, by creating quality resources that do not have to be amended before teaching. I would love to help the next generation of scientists get a quality education in the classroom, without the teachers behind the class feeling bogged down by all of the planning they have to do.

What makes SciencEd different?

  • There are no long term commitments, membership fees or sign-up requirements for teachers to buy resources.

  • Resources can be bought on their own, or bought as a whole unit. It is up to you to decide what you want!

  • All resources are produced to an extremely high standard, checked by other teachers before delivery to their own classes.

  • Each resource is taught in a school to a range of pupils, so every resource comes pre-approved by a number of teachers and students!

I hope that you enjoy the website and the range of resources. However, if there is something that you would like to comment, or if there is anything you would like to see on this website, please contact me using the box below!

Who is behind SciencEd?

My name is Ellis, I am a secondary school science teacher (physics specialist) from Birmingham and (currently) I am the only person working on this project. I have a strong passion for education, and love the job that I do. I want to share that excitement I have for science as a subject, by sharing the resources that I produce with others that want to deliver an engaging and enjoyable curriculum.
