Computer Science

Links with mathematics, science, and design and technology, providing insights into both natural and artificial systems.

The ideas developed within these lessons build on principles of information and computation, how digital systems work, and how to put this knowledge to use through programming. Building on this knowledge and understanding, pupils are equipped to use IT to create programs and systems.

The science of living organisms.

The ideas developed within these lessons will aim to build student skills on collecting and interpreting data on the real world.  They will help the students describe the observations from the natural world, using key scientific ideas.

Chemistry

The science of structure.

The lessons within chemistry will help build student ideas on the creation, formation, analysis and characteristic properties of substances and materials of all kinds, including natural and synthetic products.

Physics

The science of fundamental ideas of force, interaction, radiation and particle structures.

In these lessons, students will cover a wide range of ideas, from the development of the universe over time to the structure of new technologies.

KS3 Science

Building a foundation of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Students will build a pictures of the essential aspects of the knowledge, methods, processes and uses of science. Pupils will be encouraged to recognise the power of explanation and develop a curiosity about the natural world. They will be encouraged to understand how science can be used to explain, predict and analyse observations.
